Sandvik once established production line in China in 1980s and abandoned it later. Basing on this production line and over 30 years’ research and upgrade, we developed HJ209 and HJ407 as substitute of Kanthal A1 and Kanthal APM. They are being used in ceramic kilns, high temperature heat treatment furnaces, laboratory furnaces, electronic industrial furnaces and diffusion furnaces. (Click links for detailed introductions.)
1. Low tendency to ageing and low resistance change
2. Small change in resistivity
3. High creep resistance
4. Excellent surface oxidization properties
5. Excellent for high temperature heating (HJ209 up to 1400°C, HJ407 up to 1425℃)
1: Uses refined master alloy as raw material;
2: Uses powder metallurgy technology to manufacture alloy ingots;
3: Manufacture with special cold and hot processing and heat treatment process.
Our material is engineered to match the critical properties of standard Kanthal A1 and Kanthal APM.
1. Precise Material Matching: such as chemical composition, resistivity, temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) and maximum operating temperature.
2. Performance Parity in Core Areas: oxidation resistance, high-temperature stability and longevity.
3. Superior Consistency: dimensional accuracy, Batch-to-Batch consistency, cost-effectiveness and
4. Supply Chain Advantages: supply security & flexibility: A reliable alternative source with potential for faster lead times and customized packaging.
To guarantee a seamless switch, we require clarity on your exact application and the specific Kanthal grade you are currently using. Please share:
1. Target Application: Industrial furnace, heating element, household appliance, or vaping coil? (Operating environment is key).
2. Current Kanthal Grade: (e.g., A1, APM, D, AF, etc.) or its key properties.
3. Wire Specifications: Diameter, shape (round/ribbon), resistivity, and required operating temperature.
4. Performance Focus: What is most critical for you? (e.g., ultimate lifespan, forming/weldability, rapid cycling stability).
Note: Kanthal A1 and Kanthal APM are brand name owned by Sandvik, Sweden for a family of FeCrAl alloys.
