Nichrome A and Nichrome C Industrial heating wires

Nichrome heater wire is of two types Nichrome A and Nichrome C. Nichrome A is made of NiCr alloy containing 80% nickel and 20% chromium. It has lower temperature coefficient of resistance as compare to Nichrome C. Nichrome A has service temperature up to 1150oC or 2100oF.

Nichrome C heater wire is made of NiCr alloy  containing 60% nickel and 16% chromium and remaining iron 24%. Nichrome C has service temperature up to 1000oC or 1850oF. It has higher coefficient of electric resistance as compared to Nichrome A.

Both Nichrome A and Nichrome C offer outstanding corrosion resistance.

Nichrome C is a significant material in applications that need high resistance in a controlled space. In the heating and technical applications, Nichrome A is widely employed. Nichrome A and Nichrome C wires are made in large or small spool sizes, coils or straightened and cut to length.
