Nickel based super alloys have extensive applications in the aerospace industry such as for diffusers, combustion chambers, shells of gas producers and in other equipments which are used in high temperature and pressure conditions.

The microstructure of Inconel superalloy is featured by a multi-component, required for their specific properties. Essential elements present in these alloys are nickel, chromium, aluminum, titanium, cobalt and boron, carbon, molybdenum, tungsten etc. These elements create effects on the different properties of materials. The relation between the microstructure of alloy and their eventual properties are well observed in the different temperatures ranging from ambient to 1100oC.

Aircraft engine components are usually a complicated construction, hence production of these components needs the designing of modern metal forming processes. The process is complicated due to specific properties of Inconel alloys such as deformation resistance, high strengthening intensity, high recrystallization temperature. For industrial conditions for challenging applications of aerospace plants, alloy Inconel 718 is produced through hot or cold rolling. Besides to traditional forming methods, Inconel 718 also uses flow and share forming. The processes are conducted at cold and hot temperatures by using local laser heating.

Inconel 718 is specifically made for use in the vigorous service conditions involving high pressure or temperature. It has high tensile strength and impact strength with good resistance to corrosion and fatigue. These properties make the alloy suitable for use in high temperature applications including jet engines, gas turbines and steam generators. But these properties make Inconel 718 a difficult to machine material for powder injection molding and this problem should be solved by using metal injection molding process which produces a fine grain size with uniform distribution of precipitation phases. Stable and thick light coat layer produced by the oxide layer of Inconel during heated shield of surface of alloy from any corrosion. Inconel 718 can be fabricated by producing small components that are complex in nature. The alloy materials made up about 50% of weight of aircraft turbojet engines which are produced for different purpose in  aerospace industry. These components made are blades, casings, rings, fasteners, discs etc for high pressure and temperature service in compressors and turbines.

Several studies involve the different attributed of this alloy. The stability of performance of alloy was evaluated by using powder injection molding. The physical properties of Inconel with palm stearin and stearic acid blinder were evaluated where the viscosity and shear rate of alloy evaluated and found an increase in shear rate as the viscosity reduces. It is necessary for an alloy to be resistance to high temperature for aircraft application because of its standard locations in aircraft as in gas turbines where high thermal efficiency is required with less fuel consumption and pollution and in jet engines where an increase in temperature speeds up the aircraft.  In addition to factors that limit the gas turbine designs is the elevated temperature load handling capacity, thus there is a need of using high temperature resistant alloy Inconel wire with high load limit.
